The new school year – is just around the corner.  Every year we try to distribute as many school supplies to our client’s children as possible to help alleviate some of the financial impact.  School supplies are packaged by school age and distributed throughout the month of September. If you would like to help here are some items you can donate: Back Packs, Pencil Sharpeners, Pencils, Pens, Highlighters, Markers, Loose Leaf Paper, Crayons, Rulers, Notebooks, Binders, etc.  Calculators are always in demand for the older children.  We hope you will consider donating a few items if at all possible.  Donations can be dropped off at the pantry during our hours of operation (Tuesdays and Thursdays – 9:30 to 11:30AM)

New Building Fund – is a bit slow but we are eternally grateful for all the donations we have received thus far.  Thank You!

Hunger – does not take time off during the summer and because of the generosity of so many we have been able to continue to provide to all the needy families that come to us for assistance.  Here is a perfect example:  We were contacted by Jamie W. stating that the The Goo Goo Dolls would be performing at the PNC Arts Center on July 22, 2011 and that the Goo Street Team wanted to do a food drive with all donations being given to the Keyport Food Pantry. Well, we were totally amazed and so grateful when we got this news.  The Goo Street Team collected non perishable food donations between the two (2) main entrances at the PNC Arts Center from 5-6:30.  The drive was a huge success!  We would like to publicly say, “Thank You” to Jamie, all that made this drive possible and to all the donors.  Another “Thank You” to The Goo Goo Dolls for their support of the food drive and we wish them continued success.

Coming Soon - Boscov’s
– is re-opening their store in Eatontown, NJ.  They are selling tickets for their Gala Preview with all ticket proceeds benefiting local non-profit agencies and organizations.  We are part of this great event and will benefit from the sale of tickets.  We hope you will support us by purchasing tickets. Click here to see details of the event or check it out on our Facebook Event page. Tickets are $5 and available at the Food Pantry from Isaiah Cooper 732-888-1986.

Our current supporters know that we continue to do whatever is in our power to assist the communities we serve not only through the food we provide but whenever possible with other services as well.   If you know of someone that can use our help direct them to us – we are here for one purpose and that is to help all that we can – by not letting anyone go hungry and assisting in other ways when possible.

In ending this message please accept our personal “Thank You” from the KMFP Staff and Volunteers for your generosity and all your support of all our ongoing efforts.

If you have any questions, comments, etc. please feel free to contact us.
