A tribute to one of our KMFP volunteers

It is with great sadness that we inform you that KMFP Volunteer Sam Woods passed away on April 24th, 2010 – Sam volunteered at the pantry for over 15 years. He was no longer able to come to the pantry for the last few years but he always remained part of our KMFP family. Sam loved to bake so he would come to the pantry early on Tuesdays and Thursdays to start the coffee for the volunteers and delight us all with his homemade baked goodies. Sam was a good volunteer but most of all he was a good friend. He will be greatly missed by all of us. (Click here)

Happy Mother’s Day - to all the moms from all of us at the KMFP.

Memorial Day – is not only a day when we celebrate a long weekend but more importantly it’s a day when we all need to say Thank You to all our Veterans and their families for all the sacrifices they made to ensure that we enjoy the freedom we have today. We also need to remember and say Thank You to all the service men and women that are currently serving throughout the world and hope that they will be home soon.

2010 Allan Shawn Feinstein Hunger Challenge – the response we received for this challenge which ran from March 1st to April 30thwas great. Thank You to all that contributed.  A full report of the results of this challenge will be posted on http://www.feinsteinfoundation.org/ in July.

New Building Project – contributions continue to come in toward our project. We want all our donors to know how grateful we are for all the donations we have received thus far. Please continue to spread the word we need all your support to meet our goal.

Spaghetti Dinner – being held on May 22nd by Faith Reformed Church of Hazlet to benefit the KMFP New Building Project.

As always a BIG thank you to all our great supporters from the KMFP Staff and Volunteers.
