We hope that you are having a great Summer!

Northern Monmouth Chamber of Commerce (NMCC) Golf Outing – held on July 17th was fantastic.   In attendance representing the KMFP were Ken Connors, KMFP Board of Trustees, Maria Connors, KMFP Registrar and myself.  This event was conducted in support of our organization and as such we would like to extend our deepest appreciation to all that attended.  We also want to extend a Special Thank You to the NMCC Board of Directors, Staff and all the Members for their ongoing support and time in coordinating this event.

Financial Donations – are received by our organization quite often.  We have two (2) funds – Operational which includes the purchase of food and we also have the New Building Project.   We remind our donors whether you contribute by check or cash please inform us what fund you want your donation to go toward.  Your request will be honored.
School starts next month – Every year we try to distribute as many school supplies to our client’s children as possible to help alleviate some of the financial impact.  School supplies are packaged by school age and distributed throughout the month of September. If you would like to help here are some items you can donate: Book Bags, Pencil Sharpeners, Pencils, Pens, Highlighters, Markers, Loose Leaf Paper, Crayons, Rulers, Notebooks, Binders, etc.  Calculators are always in demand for the older children.  Hope you will consider donating a few items if at all possible.  Donations can be dropped off at the pantry during our hours of operation (Tuesdays and Thursdays – 9:30 to 11:30AM)

Food donations –  Every week someone stops by to donate food and with the increase of clients that we are currently experiencing every can of tuna or box of cereal that comes through our door means that we will be able to continue to serve so many families that are struggling to make ends meet.   We wish we could name all the Individuals, Businesses and Organizations that support us so that we can maintain our doors open but the number is too great.  All we can continue to say is Thank You on behalf of the clients we serve and all of us at the KMFP – We cannot do it without your ongoing support!

New Building Fund – is slow but we are grateful for all the donations we have received thus far.  These are difficult times but if you can spare a few dollars toward our project we truly appreciate it.  KMFP New Building Project – Donations have been at a low for the last two (2) months and we understand due to the economic challenges being faced by so many.  We ask that you please help with any amount you can afford.  Every dollar counts.  Thank you!

Have you ever experienced hunger? – Meetings and deadlines at work, busy around the house and all of a sudden you get this funny feeling in your stomach – you look at the clock and it’s almost dinner time.  You were so busy you forgot to eat something so your stomach is telling you to feed it.  You open the cupboard or refrigerator and make yourself something to eat.  Now, think for a moment of all the people that have this so called “funny feeling” in their stomachs everyday.  These people did not forget to eat – they had nothing to eat.  Some of them find their way to us and we are able to assist them the best way we can but so many others continue to go hungry.  The next time you get that funny feeling in your stomach think of all the men, women and children that go to bed hungry everyday, many of them in the communities we live in and some of them might be living right next door to us, that cannot just open a cupboard or refrigerator and prepare something to eat.   We hope that you can find it in your heart to help us by donating a can of soup, box of cereal or any other food item.  It’s not how many cans or boxes you donate – all that matters is that you know deep down, that one can of soup or tuna fish or one box of cereal will make a difference and allow no man, woman or child to feel the pains of hunger.  Also remember if you know of someone that can use our help direct them to us – we are here for one purpose and that is to help all that we can – by not letting anyone go hungry.  For your convenience – Food Donations: Open Printable List  (PDF File or Word Doc

Words will never be able to express how grateful the KMFP is for all the continued support we receive from all of those who know us.  Our supporters know that we continue to do whatever is in our power to assist the communities we serve not only through the food we provide but  whenever possible with other services as well.   Please accept this as a personal “Thank You” to each and every one of you from the KMFP Staff and Volunteers for your generosity and support of our ongoing efforts.  If you have any questions, comments, etc. please feel free to contact us.
