This month marks three (3) years since the launching of the Executive Message. Our goal was to keep everyone informed as much as possible on all the happenings at the pantry and things we feel are important for the public to know. We feel we have been accomplishing this and hope that you feel the same.
Your feedback/comments are important to us therefore feel free to contact either via email or phone.

Don’t forget our little “Trick or Treat” visitors that will soon be knocking on your doors – Yes, October 31st is around the corner. As always please drive carefully, especially that day since there will be numerous children and adults throughout the neighborhoods. Happy Halloween!
Middletown Eagles Cheerleaders held their very first canned food drive in September and we were the lucky recipients. How refreshing it is to see young children get involved in such a worthy cause. It was a pleasure to meet them. We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to all involved in making this such a great event. To see picture please visit middletowneagles.com/cheerleading/cheerleading.htm
We would like to thank Mr. Don Duthie and Mr. Mel Hooper (Middletown UMC Webmaster) who have so kindly included information about our organization on their website, middletownumcnj.org. Middletown UMC has been a long supporter of our organization and we are truly grateful for all they do throughout the year.
Our latest status:
-
Food donations – We cannot say Thank You enough to ALL our donors who faithfully provide us with the extra food we so badly need. Just to give you an example:
• Individuals – there is hardly a day that goes by that someone does not come in and drops off for example, a few boxes of cereal, pasta, tuna fish and other items that we are always looking for and those few items that you might think is not a big deal DOES make a difference.
• Grace/Calvary UMC – every week Rev. Anderson comes in with a different group of foods donated by the parishioners of his churches – i.e. one week it was pasta, another one was cereal, etc. and just recently baby food, which is always in demand and helps our clients who have small children.
• Keyport Garden Club – this year we were fortunate to have had a variety of fresh local grown vegetables thanks to the Keyport Garden Club. Our clients have been thrilled in being able to have some of these nutritional foods available and we owe it all to this club. They have provided tomatoes, peppers, eggplants and different types of greens. Our clients have truly enjoyed them all.
• Keyport Senior Center – provides us with food donated by their members. They have a food collection bin and once it fills up they call us and we pick up the donations.
REMEMBER: If you and/or your organization, church, etc. would like to make a food donation or a monetary food donation either stop by the pantry or contact our Associate Director Marge Conway during our hours of operation. Please also remember that the holiday season is soon approaching and we need your help more than ever during these very trying times with our economy. No donation is ever too small!
-
We continue our research on Federal, State and Local grants that are available and submit applications whenever we meet the criteria.
-
We continue to receive donations toward our new building fund.
If you have any questions, comments, etc. please feel free to contact us via email or call us. As always the KMFP Staff and Volunteers are truly grateful for all your support. Thank you!
