Happy Holidays!

As 2007 comes to a close the Keyport Ministerium Food Pantry volunteers and the clients we serve want to say “Thank You” to all the individuals, churches, organizations and businesses for all the assistance you gave us in 2007, we could not have done it without YOU.   We hope that you continue to believe in our Mission/Goals and continue to support us in 2008.

Every organization needs people who are willing to work hard and take the extra step when necessary to meet the goals of that organization.  As Executive Director I am proud to say that the volunteers of the KMFP go beyond these expectations.  Although I thank them for their hard work and dedication throughout the year I want to publicly thank each one of them and make the public aware that the Keyport Ministerium Food Pantry would not exist if it were not for this great dedicated TEAM. (Who We Are)

Here is the latest status:
  • Thank you to The Mothers Against Hunger of Keyport for their very generous donation of numerous Gift Cards for Shoprite and Stop & Shop Supermarkets.
  • Thank you to Creative Learning Center from Shrewsbury for their donation of coats for our clients.  A number of our clients cannot afford to buy coats either for themselves or their children therefore these coats will provide the much needed warmth in the upcoming winter months.
  • The Tuesday before Thanksgiving we distributed 50 turkeys with trimmings for Thanksgiving to our clients.  We are truly grateful for all the donations we received in addition to what we received from the Foodbank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties since it allowed us to provide additional goods to more families. Thank you to all our KMFP volunteers that assisted our Associate Director Marge Conway in the distribution of the packages.

  • This month we will be distributing Christmas Gifts to 195 children that were sponsored by so many of you.  Thank you to St. John’s UMC, Gethsemane Lutheran Church, Keyport Community Church, Faith Reformed, Bayshore Christian Fellowship, Union Beach First Aid, Union Beach Fire Department, their coordinator Lisa, and the many individuals that have made this holiday season a little brighter and happier for the children we serve.  We would also like to extend a Special Thank You to our Associate Director Marge Conway, who coordinates this effort every year.

  • The Courier Newspaper did an article on our organization on November 23rd.  (News and Events)

  • As of December 1, 2007, we have not yet received feedback on our Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) application but hope to do so soon.

  • We continue to receive donations towards our “New Building” and we are truly grateful.  Please remember no donation is too small, so if you or someone you know is able to help us we truly appreciate it.

Finally, the KMFP Staff and Volunteers would like to wish you and your families a Happy and Safe Holiday Season and a New Year filled with Health, Happiness and Prosperity

See you in 2008!
